Following Government and UK Theatre guidance issued on 16 March, Theatre Royal Wakefield has taken the decision to temporarily close shows to the public. The café and box office will remain open. At present staff are unsure how long this closure will last but for now all shows until Saturday 28 March will not go ahead. They will keep everyone updated by email and on our website and social media channels.

Theatre Royal Wakefield is a small theatre that relies heavily on local support. The support we get from their Corporate Partners, sponsors and advertisers is always vital but in the current situation they appeal to you. "We are a charity, as you all know and do not receive any public money, having to close our door will throw up challenges."

The theatre are asking customers to consider the possibility of donating the cost of your ticket to help keep the theatre afloat in these most unusual of circumstances, they appeal to you to do the same with any tickets booked.
