How I love to be able to straighten up a display of TopicUK magazines!
It feels like a lifetime since I was able to drive around my beloved Yorkshire delivering our latest edition!
How grateful I am to be in good health and back behind the wheel again (speaking of which, I hope you enjoy my latest review of a SEAT Mii).
Edition 44 comes with a cover printed on antibacterial paper, an extra precaution to keep our readers safe. Its striking image of "The Yorkshire Shepherdess" and celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton, was expertly captured on camera by our good friends Roth Read Photography.
I recently delivered a significant quantity to our partners The Piece Hall in Halifax on a particularly beautiful day and it was a joy to see the courtyard was busy, yet with full safe distancing measures firmly in place. Soon, I will be sharing some exciting news about a volunteer role that I have been asked to fulfill at this historic venue,I cannot begin to tell you how privileged I feel.
Could we be seeing the start of the end of the pandemic as businesses begin to re-open and schools plan to welcome a new academic year?
I most certainly hope so.
Personally, I am very "self aware" and take absolutely every measure to protect my health, as well as that of others and have ventured out during the month to show my support for the many businesses who have been badly affected.
From cocktails at Dakota in Leeds to enjoying the open spaces at Yorkshire Sculpture Park I have tried my level best to get out and about and invest back into the great county in which I live and work.
Although we are naturally "over the moon" to be back in print, we still published our digital edition plus you can also read the magazine on our free App (available at the App store and Google Play) when you are "on the go".
