Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The awards were set up by Eaton Smith to show case and celebrate the hard work and innovation of businesses in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield. The awards, which are run in conjunction with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber and the Department for International Trade, culminate in the Business of the Year Award which is celebrated every year in July when the preceding twelve monthly winners have the opportunity to win the annual award.
The Business of the Year Award has been won by a diverse range of businesses; the first, in 1996, was Consultant Services Group and the latest, in 2019 was Smith Brothers. Business of the Year had to take a break in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic but it is relaunching in April 2021 in time for its 25th anniversary in July.
Deborah Melluish, partner at Eaton Smith and member of the judging panel said; “The Business of the Month Award has been an important part of the local business community for twenty five years. There are so many fantastic businesses in the region and winning one of our awards gives them a brilliant platform from which to show case their achievements. The judging panel is always impressed with the variety and quality of applications from hard working businesses in the region.”
