Recruitment agency Stafflex proudly celebrates its 25-year anniversary this month, marking a quarter-century of excellence in connecting businesses with top talent across Kirklees and Calderdale.

Founded in April 2000, Stafflex was established with the vision of becoming the first-choice employment agency in the region. The company quickly made its mark in the manufacturing sector, experiencing strong growth in its early years. This expansion led to an increase in staff numbers and a move to a larger office on Wakefield Road.

As demand grew, Stafflex diversified its services, launching an education division to provide supply teachers and non-teaching assistants to local primary and secondary schools. By 2009, the company had solidified its reputation as a trusted recruitment partner and further expanded by introducing its office division, catering to businesses seeking skilled office-based professionals.

Throughout its history, Stafflex has remained deeply committed to the local community. Over the years, it has supported a variety of initiatives, charities, schools, and sporting events as part of its long-standing community sponsorship programme. This dedication to social responsibility has been a key pillar of the company’s success.

Following a decade of sustained growth, Stafflex moved into an even larger office at its current location on Chapel Hill. In 2019, the company undertook a major office refurbishment, enhancing its workspace to accommodate rapid growth, improve employee productivity, and create a welcoming environment for candidates. In keeping with its ethos of supporting the local community, Stafflex used local contractors for the refurbishment, further reinforcing its commitment to investing in businesses within the region.

The past five years have been particularly notable for Stafflex, with the company receiving multiple accolades, including the prestigious Family Business of the Year award from the Institute of Directors as well as the coveted EcoVadis Gold accreditation for sustainability. During this time, the brand underwent a refresh, introducing a new strapline and alternative logos for its various divisions to better represent its strong identity and core values.
