The North of England’s largest cosmetic vehicle repairer has acquired a 17,865 sq ft modern industrial building just off Kirkstall Road in Leeds, which has now become its new headquarters and repair centre.

Smart Repairs was previously based on Gelderd Road before completing the move to Falcon House, which spans Weaver Street and Walter Street, close to the Kirkstall Road viaduct.

Falcon House was marketed by Adair Paxton and the Leeds property agency is now letting the building’s first floor, which offers 4,721 sq ft of workshop or studio space and includes a 900 sq ft office suite, kitchen and WCs.

Dan Besau, who founded the firm in 2003, said: “Falcon House is more than double the size of our previous unit and gives us a fantastic base as we continue expanding our client base, which consists of well-known dealerships through to individual vehicle owners.

“The building was particularly appealing because it offers a modern facility in a highly accessible location, just off one of the busiest roads in and out of Leeds city centre, which is approximately a mile away, as well as the motorway network just beyond.”

Simon Dalingwater, director at Adair Paxton, said: “The quality and location of this building meant there was a lot of interest in it from the outset and it’s been a pleasure to complete a prompt sale to Smart Repairs.

“We’ve now been appointed to let the first floor of the building, which is very well-equipped with its own self-contained entrance lobby, reception area and offices. This will appeal to a variety of businesses, ranging from gyms through to e-commerce firms, that want a flexible space with lots of natural light in a busy and vibrant part of Leeds.”
