A Yorkshire property developer is pledging support to families by becoming patron of a Yorkshire children’s charity.
Graham Carney, who owns Ilkley Properties, has announced the firm’s patronage of The Principle Trust, which provides respite breaks to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.
Since launching in April 2023, Ilkley Properties has completed a range of residential projects including renovations, extensions, conversions and refurbishments throughout Wharfedale, Craven and the Aire Valley.
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity was established by local businessman Mike Davies, MBE in 2011. Over the past decade the Trust has raised over £1.7m, purchased six holiday homes and provided respite breaks for 5000 children across the Yorkshire region.
Making the announcement Mike said, ‘We are happy to welcome Ilkley Properties as a patron. Thanks to kind-hearted companies like them, we are able to continue supporting needy families across Yorkshire.’
Graham commented, ‘As a father of three children myself, the work of The Principle Trust really resonates with me; I’m pleased to contribute to their work helping some of our region’s most disadvantaged families to escape their daily troubles and create long-lasting happy memories.’
