Leeds Building Society raise over £31,000 for dementia support
Inspired by the daily challenges those caring for people with dementia are
facing during the pandemic, colleagues at Leeds Building Society have raised
over £31,000.
Throughout July colleagues set themselves a daily task to complete; with
challenges including everything from hula hooping to studying Italian to raise
money for
Taylors of Harrogate partners with Engage to showcase its sustainability credentials
Leeds-based digital agency Engage has collaborated with Taylors of Harrogate to
develop an online content hub and report to showcase its work in sustainability
and drive awareness of how brands can become more sustainable.
Engage has collaborated with the Harrogate-based independent tea and coffee
company for over five years on
IoD names new North Yorkshire ambassador
IoD Yorkshire and North East has appointed a new Digital Ambassador to represent
North Yorkshire.
David Spillane will support IoD members to connect with one another, develop
professionally and influence policy and decision-makers at the highest levels.

Wakefield salon nominated for Entrepreneur Award by Barclays
Wakefield-based Room 97 Creative has been nominated for the Barclays
Entrepreneur Icon Award.
The nomination, by his local Barclays branch, comes after the three-salon
company received support from Barclays through the Government-backed Bounce Back
Scheme (BBL) in order to maintain the ability to trade through the COVID-19
crisis.

New image shows how £30m Headrow scheme will look
Leeds City Council have released a new animation which shows how the £30m
Headrow scheme will look once completed in spring 2021.
The scheme forms part of the Connecting Leeds programme which is set to
transform transport in the city centre into world-class gateways for bus users,

Leeds technology and engineering consultancy, expands into Portugal
BJSS, the Leeds technology and engineering consultancy, announces its expansion
into Portugal. The initial investment in the region will exceed €12 million
within 18 months and marks the company’s first international location outside of
North America.
Based in Lisbon, BJSS’ new team is set to grow rapidly to support
