Eaton Smith Solicitors is delighted to announce that Nurtur Student Living Ltd has been chosen by the judging panel as the latest winner of its Business of the Month Award.

Property development company, Fraser Morgan, was founded by managing director, Mark Robinson in 2007. As the business began developing private-built-student-accommodation, Mark went on to create a subsidiary brand to manage and operate its building, with its strong ethics and focus on the wellbeing of university students at the forefront.

With student wellbeing leading the development of the buildings from the ground up, with carefully designed social spaces and safe and secure studio apartments, the vision for Nurtur Student Living was to maintain the well-being focus in the day-to-day running of the building, with the structure, support, and care shown to its student residents.

With its devotion to keeping student health and wellbeing and the forefront, the company has received national recognition at multiple awards for its health and wellbeing initiative, as well as being awarded the ‘Best Small Operator’ award at the Global Student Living Awards 2022, and ‘Most Outstanding Operator – North of England’ at BUILD Magazine’s Real Estate & Property Awards 2022 – alongside fellow finalists who boast a much larger portfolio than the two properties in Nurtur’s current management portfolio.

Heidi Hawkins, head of marketing had this to say: “The Nurtur team is delighted with our latest award win.

“It’s been an extremely challenging time for the PBSA industry over the last two years. The global pandemic, quickly followed by the cost-of-living crisis have significantly impacted university students studying in the UK.

“We are extremely proud of our model and the service we provide to Nurtur residents. But most importantly, we are proud of the hard-working team that sits at the heart of Nurtur.”

Philip Clarke, partner at Eaton Smith Solicitors, and member of the judging panel commented; “Myself and the other judges really liked their growth to date, the vision about where the company was going and their work looking after the mental health of students. Nurtur Student Living were worthy winners of this award, and we can’t wait to see them again at the Business of the Year Awards in the summer”.

Philip Clarke was joined on the judging panel by Martin Hathaway (MYCCI), Annie Bradley (Department of International Trade), Viv Jebson (The Marketing Centre) and David Busfield (Crowther Accountants). Nurtur Student Living Ltd will now go through to the Business of the Year Award which will be held in June 2023.
