Aqualand Industries is supporting its growth plans with the appointment of Alan Parkinson as new business development manager.

Alan will lead the company’s sales activity around the world and build on its strong partnerships with leading leisure brands. He joins from a senior business development role at Kirklees College, where he helped connect young people with employment opportunities.

The Holmfirth-based company manufactures advanced electric vehicles and pedal carts for leisure destinations around the world. It recently appointed a sales manager in Denmark to support its expansion plans in Scandinavia.

Commenting on his new role, Alan said: “I join Aqualand Industries at an exciting time. The team is ramping up its international expansion plans and has extended the range of electric vehicles and pedal carts to offer something for all the family. It’s great to be part of an entrepreneurial and ambitious company.”

Aqualand Industries partners with leisure destinations to help them drive additional revenue. The company offers leasing, full purchase or a mixture of both to provide operators with the flexibility they need to introduce the range of products.

The company expects revenue to top £1m for the first time this year as more tourists choose to enjoy British holiday parks and holidays.

Carl Byford, general manager of Aqualand Industries, concluded: “Alan brings a wealth of experience to this new role. He has a passionate team to support him, and he’ll play an important role in helping to drive the business forward.”
