Family planning charity Marie Stopes International has partnered with award-winning, new-model employment law firm ESPHR to further enhance company culture and focus on its Employee Relations (ER) provision.
Focusing on relationship between employees and employers, ER can help to drive commercial and strategic success for a business’s long-term future and maintain a motivated, highly skilled workforce.
The partnership means Marie Stopes International, which offers contraception and abortion services, has access to two dedicated, and vastly experienced, ESPHR employment lawyers. They will directly support and provide legal advice to the firm in order to manage ER issues, upskilling the team with critical knowledge and contribute towards the development of a thoroughly inclusive culture.
The UK non-profit organisation will also receive unlimited access to ESPHR’s market-leading, cloud-based ER case management system, MyHRCases, and an online portal of commercially-focused, downloadable resources to help upskill its internal ER and HR team.
“It is vital that organisations have the right frameworks in place so that their policies and principles support colleagues in a positive, fair and consistent way,” said Kerry Crowther, vice president for global HR and people development at Marie Stopes International.
“Working with ESPHR has allowed our organisation to step forward when it comes to employee relations and we’re excited to see where the partnership takes us.”
Speaking about the need to further equip professional in-house HR teams with the technical tools and resources to drive their organisations forward, ESPHR founder Peter Byrne explained: “By developing revolutionary leaders – with employment law and ER expertise – businesses should feel more robust.
“Marie Stopes International truly cares about its colleagues and with high-quality advice from our legal advisors they are able to not only maintain a motivated, inclusive and protected workforce, but determine their long-term futures.”
Surrey-based ESPHR is one of the UK’s first Alternative Business Structure employment law firms. The organisation continues to challenge the market ‘status quo’ with a forward-thinking, innovative approach to employment law support to in-house HR teams, coupled with vast ER knowledge and expertise in HR and employment law.
