Three leading Yorkshire law firms are supporting a Sheffield charity by offering people the chance to write or update their Will for a suggested donation of just £100.

Paces, the leading specialist centre, charity and school for individuals with Cerebral Palsy and motor disorders, is organising Make a Will Month this May and asking everyone to consider taking part.

Research suggests as many as two-thirds of people do not have a Will and even those that have one have not updated them to reflect changes in personal circumstances, such as changes in relationships or having children.

Paces has now teamed up with Irwin Mitchell, Buchanan & Co Solicitors and Graysons Solicitors who, during the month, will write or update the important document for a suggestion donation of £100 for a single Will and £180 for a mirror Will.

Anyone interested in taking part in Make a Will Month can secure an appointment now. Limited slots are available and the solicitor will discuss exact requirements during the meeting.

Money raised during the month will go towards the charity’s efforts to offer more support to more children and adults with life-changing skills - such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, communication and self-care - using conductive education.

Julie Booth, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Paces, said: “Making a Will and ensuring it is kept up-to-date is vital to protect you and your family and we hope that people will take advantage of this great opportunity during May to do that while also supporting the young people and adults who are our Paces family.

“Thank you to the teams at Graysons, Buchanon & Co and Irwin Mitchell who are giving their time and expertise to help us with Make a Will Month and I know the appointments will fill up fast, so please register your interest today.”
