Avant Homes West Yorkshire is constructing 20 new homes for Bradford-headquartered Manningham Housing Association at Odette’s Point in Keighley after agreeing a £4.3m deal with the housing provider.

The partnership marks another important step in Avant Homes’ delivery of its multi-tenure strategy and is the first the housebuilder has secured with Manningham Housing Association within West Yorkshire.

Avant Homes’ multi-tenure strategy seeks to maximise housing supply though the provision of quality new homes for private sale, the private rental sector (PRS) and additional affordable housing.

Construction of the new energy efficient homes is well underway, and the housing mix being delivered at Odette’s Point comprises three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached properties.

Avant Homes has handed over 11 homes to Manningham Housing Association and expects to complete the remaining nine homes by the end of the year.

Commenting on the partnership deal, Avant Homes group head of affordable housing delivery, Phil Lacey, said: “Our vision of providing quality new homes for everyone is what underpins our multi-tenure strategy.

“Our deal with Manningham Housing Association at our Odette’s Point development in Keighley is a perfect example of us delivering on our vision. The continued success of the development highlights the demand for these types of homes within the popular Bradford district.

“Manningham Housing Association’s affordable homes at Odette’s Point will contribute to the growing and diverse community in the area, while providing homes for the people who need them most,”

This news follows soon after Avant Homes announced it is delivering 16 new homes for affordable housing provider Trent & Dove at Cadley Park in Swadlincote after agreeing a £3.6m partnership deal.

Phil added: ““Avant Homes is determined to create a positive, long lasting social impact through its multi-tenure strategy. We are actively engaged in conversations with registered social landlords and PRS providers across our business and look forward to announcing more partnerships in the future.”

Wakefield-based Avant Homes West Yorkshire currently has nine live developments ranging from Odette’s Point in Keighley to Sorby Park in Waverley.

The company is part of the Avant Homes Group, which operates across the north of England, Midlands and Scotland from eight regional operating businesses.

Tracie Naylor, the regeneration manager at Manningham Housing Association, expressed her pleasure in collaborating with Avant Homes to provide the essential new and affordable housing

At present, Avant Homes Group employs more than 600 people. The housebuilder’s ambition is to develop its multi-tenure business further across its existing regions and beyond, creating communities as well as providing employment opportunities.

Avant Homes Group is committed to securing sustainable growth through private for sale, PRS and additional affordable housing. This better serves customers and communities, particularly where the cost of living has increased and affordability is stretched.

The housebuilder has invested in the internal expertise to develop and deliver strategic relationships with PRS investors as well as affordable housing providers.

Last November, the Group announced the sale of 306 new homes across eight developments to a leading private rented housing provider, Sigma Capital Group, for over £59.5m.

This significant PRS transaction demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver a significant volume of quality new homes to a major PRS investor.

Avant Homes Group is also committed to its environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities in line with its vision to construct and sell “quality homes, for everyone”.

The housebuilder’s ESG strategy recognises its obligations to all stakeholders to deliver a sustainable future. Avant Homes’ house types are significantly more energy efficient compared to existing housing stock and appeal to a wide range of customers with different affordability requirements.
