Six employees from HARIBO took a leap of faith in July when they joined a sponsored skydive to raise money for Beat Autism, a charity that supports families who have children on the autism spectrum.

With the company offering to donate £100 for each colleague who dared to jump, the team have raised a respectable £600 for the cause.

With their feet now firmly back on the ground, the colleagues can share their tales of the day they took to the skies to show their support for a charity that makes a lifechanging difference to children with autism and their families.

Jon Hughes comments: “It is not unusual for our colleagues to take part in sponsored events for charity, but even we think going up in a plane and jumping out is deserving of a ‘high’ five!

“We are so pleased that the £600 raised will be used to support struggling families and their autistic children and that is a cause we can all get behind.”

Sharon Firth from Beat Autism, comments: “The support that we offer is critical to help the children that we work with develop and have a happy childhood. It also helps families to stay together, which is critical for a disabled child.

“We cannot thank the seven colleagues enough. We really hope that as well as raising much-needed funds for our cause, they also have a memorable experience that will last a lifetime!”
