Finally, the hospitality business has some good news: many local businesses have been given the green light for re-opening on 4th July, including The Ticket Office in Ilkley.

Adam Lewis - Director of Twisted Bars, who owns The Ticket Office and Everybody's Social in Guiseley which is also opening said: “We can’t wait to welcome our team and customers back to both venues. Over the last couple of months, we have missed them all but have been busy in the background. We’ve been planning the most important part of reopening, which is the safety of our staff and customers, and I am proud of all the items we have put in place.”

Just some of the extra measures you can expect to see include a preferred (although not essential) pre-booking system, to best manage customer flow, avoid disappointment and ensure social distancing.

On arrival at the venues, you won’t need to touch a thing, with both foot-controlled door openings and hand sanitiser in place.

The bars have a thermal imaging cameras in place to record staff and customer temperatures on entry and to identify any possible risks. Anyone showing a high temperature will be asked politely to seek medical advice and won’t be allowed on site.

Once seated, customers will be asked to order via a special ‘At Table’ app that is set to be ready in time for opening. The app will allow for both contactless ordering and payment. Hand Sanitiser will also be available on all tables.

Even though a deep clean and full sanitization has already taken place, the local cleaning company used ‘2nd Nature Cleaning’ will also complete an additional sanitisation process every day, on top of their usual procedures.
Adam said: “Following a review of the current Government guidelines and a Covid 19 risk assessment completed by a specialist external company - We took the decision to invest heavily and exceed both our usual high hygiene standards and what is expected. We wanted to show that safety is our number one priority and wanted, both staff and customers, to feel as comfortable as possible when they visit us.”

Finally, the bars have had a state of the art, new ‘ElectroStatic Sanitisation’ procedure completed by ‘Germzaway’. Currently, no other company in the area is known to have had this done. This disinfectant aggressively adheres to surfaces and objects, completely sanitising them.
Although re-opening will undoubtedly bring some challenges, the team feel like they are well prepared and are excited to welcome everyone back:
Liam Chantry – General Manager of the site said “We’ve put a lot of thought into how we can make our site as clean and safe as possible and we will be one of very few hospitality businesses who have put as many extra safety procedures in place”.

“We can’t wait to welcome back our team and customers but do ask for your patience and understanding and also that customers take the necessary measures themselves to adhere to government guidelines, all throughout the customer journey with us.”

“It will be amazing to see everyone and feel the venues coming alive, once more. We would like to thank all our customers and the local community for all their amazing support, whilst we have been closed.”

The sites will be back open with a reduced menu including a special selection of some of their signature cocktails, including: their ‘Pornstar’ and ‘Espresso Martinis’, ‘Rhubarb Triangle’ and ‘Smoke on the Moor’.

They also have exciting plans for a ‘Cocktails at Home’ package, where customer will be given the opportunity to make up the bars famous, signature cocktails at home. This service will be offered once they feel they have got the safety and experience right with their in house offering.
