EV and sustainable infrastructure company, EV3POWER, has named former Google and Bolt executive Rich Pleeth as its chief of staff and newest board executive.

His wide-ranging role includes strategic planning, fundraising and improving organisational structure as well as marketing and business development. He brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, marketing, mobility, ridesharing, EV charging and regulatory affairs to EV3POWER.

He is the former managing director and head of investor relations at Estonian mobility unicorn Bolt where he successfully secured a Transport for London private hire licence and helped raise more than $200 million.

Prior to Bolt, Rich was the chief marketing officer at Gett where he helped drive growth by 500%. Earlier in his career, Rich worked at Google in the marketing team where he managed Chrome, Search and brand marketing.

Based in Wakefield, London and soon to be Reading, EV3POWER is one of the UK’s largest installers of EV chargers and sustainability organisations with nationwide capabilities.

CEO and founder, Pete Bevils said: “I could not be more excited to welcome Rich to the team. This is a significant hire and one that sets the business up for the future. Rich’s experience in technology, operations, scaling and fund-raising speaks for itself and I am delighted to have secured someone of his calibre in this role.”

Pete continued: “2022 will be a transformative year for EV3POWER and having Rich on board means we are in the perfect position to tackle the explosion in the EV market and other sustainability projects head on.”

Rich said: “It’s such a pleasure to join EV3POWER and I am excited about what lies ahead. EV3 installed over 1,200 chargers in 2021 and we will be installing at least 6 times that number in 2022. Our infrastructure consultancy approach will ensure that we can educate the market and local public sector leadership.”

Rich continued, “The ban on new sales of petrol and diesel cars is under 8 years away and there is a tremendous amount of work to be done in the sustainability infrastructure space. I’m excited about EV3’s innovative approach to solar panels, hydrogen fuel cells and battery farms that ensure the grid has the necessary sustainable supply in the future.”
