Local sisters and owners of X-Press Legal Services South and West Yorkshire, Helen Foster and Claire Ide, recently organised a charity gala which raised over £2,300 for national charity, Breast Cancer Now.

The event which took place on in early March at The Old Rishworthians rugby club, invited Helen and Claire’s friends, family, connections and colleagues to have a night of fun, all whilst raising money for a great cause. Over 90 attended, creating a great atmosphere.

It was the second such event run by the sisters, who also run a business providing property search reports to the conveyancing sector across Yorkshire.

For Helen, herself a breast cancer survivor (twice), the evening held particular significance, with Helen stating: “It was great to get people together again after a difficult few years including my second breast cancer diagnosis during lockdown.

“Our previous event has a great turnout, with everyone enjoying themselves and raising a great amount for a truly amazing charity. We were pleased to be able to do this again and raise over an incredible £2,300 for Breast Cancer Now. Over £5,500 in total!”

Helen continued: “To see so many local businesses and people come together for this cause and share our passion for it has been incredibly humbling. It just wouldn’t have been possible without the help, commitment, and kindness of all those that contributed and attended. I’d also like to thank everyone who sponsored the event or donated a prize”

Breast Cancer Now is a UK-based charity providing world-class research and life-changing support for people affected by breast cancer.
