The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes has sold over well over a third of the 204 homes it’s building in Kirk Ella in less than a year – a sign it says of the strength of the new home market in the East Riding.

Melanie Smith, Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Everyone’s aware that rising interest rates over the last 18-months to two years have slowed the housing market down, so to maintain the sales rate we have in Kirk Ella has been nothing short of astonishing.”

“And it’s not just Kirk Ella – we’ve got another six developments in the East Riding and they’re all selling strongly, which clearly points to the region being a true new home hotspot.”

Being built within walking distance of Kirk Ella’s historic village centre, Parson’s Croft has been designed to appeal to buyers from all walks and stages of life – from first time buyers through to growing families and on to downsizers –, which is reflected in the wide choice of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes available.

One of the most in-demand homes on the development has been the five-bedroom detached Watchmaker. Providing 1,880 square foot of living space, it’s been designed and built to the exacting high standards expected of a housebuilder that has received a five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for an astonishing seven successive years – a rating awarded only when 90 per cent or more of customers state they would happily recommend a housebuilder to a friend or family member.

“Our reputation for building homes that buyers love is long established,” added Melanie. “And we don’t just stop there – we’re here to create homes and communities that people will love in an environment they’ll be proud to call home.”

Bellway recently partnered with Own New to make mortgages more affordable to people purchasing new homes in the East Riding. The Own New Rate Reducer could see buyers of new-build Bellway homes in the region benefit from interest rates below 1.00 per cent on mortgages up to 95 per cent.

Bellway will be opening up its building site in Kirk Ella on Saturday 27th April in order to give potential buyers a sneak peek of what goes on during the build process.

Its Dusty Boots event at Parson’s Croft provides a unique opportunity for visitors to see areas of the site that are not normally open to the public. The tour will give visitors an insight into the craftmanship, design, and quality of the homes being built.
