Yorkshire Country Properties, one of Yorkshire’s leading residential property developers, has reported a raft of sales and reservations at their three developments in West Yorkshire.
The Huddersfield-based company, which has just won two major honours in the prestigious national WhatHouse? awards and been shortlisted in Yorkshire Residential Real Estate and Yorkshire Business Insider Property awards, is currently on site at Shepley, Skelmanthorpe and Denby Dale.
Altogether 20 homes have been bought at Knowle Grange in Shepley, with two recent reservations; seven sold at Whistle Bell Court at Skelmanthorpe, with two reservations; while there have been nine reservations at YCP’s latest development, The Willows in Denby Dale.
Sam McGregor, head of sales at Yorkshire Country Properties, explained: “We are incredibly proud of the sales and reservations we have achieved – and are achieving - across all our three sites. We all know the challenging conditions that the residential property market currently faces and we are doing everything we can to make it easier for people and families to move house.
“It is reassuring that inflation is now falling and we trust this will be followed by a cut in interest rates, easing the cost-of-living crisis. At the same time, we are committed to breaking down the barriers to home ownership by offering a suite of benefits tailored to individual circumstances, so that we can support buyers at every stage of their journey.”
Meanwhile managing director Paul Brown, commenting on YCP’s recent success at the WhatHouse? Awards, in which the company won the Best Starter Home category outright and received a Bronze award in the Best Small Housebuilder category, said: “These awards, coupled with short-listings in other prestigious residential property competitions, mean a tremendous amount to us and reflect so well on our hard-working and talented team.”
“It is always incredibly satisfying to be recognised and rewarded by our peers in the very competitive residential property sector. These awards give us the confidence to know that we are building exactly the right quality new homes, from starter homes, to family homes, to executive houses. This confidence will prove invaluable as we continue to build homes for every stage of life’s journey.”
Anne Haggas, head of Yorkshire residential development sales at Savills in Leeds, who are marketing YCP’s developments revealed: “There has already been a surge of interest in the homes on all three sites, predominantly because of their attractive appearance, competitive pricing, high-quality design, top interior specification and excellent locations. The combination is irresistible and is fuelling the demand we are currently seeing in these schemes.
“Yorkshire Country Properties have a proven track record of producing homes of character that meet the demands of modern living and we are delighted to have been appointed to market Knowle Grange, Whistle Bell Court and The Willows.
“The property market throughout Yorkshire has been performing particularly well this year, in spite of the challenges that people have faced and, added to the prime village locations of these two sites, we anticipate continued strong demand across the region and wider UK.”
A new report by Savills on the residential property market suggested that, once inflation is curbed and interest rates fall on a permanent basis, price growth of 6.0 per cent is expected by 2026. This trend will gather pace once the global economy picks up and domestic political instability subsides after the next election. Significantly, the report suggests that the north of England will be one of the top performing areas in the UK during the next couple of years.
Meanwhile Knowle Grange at Shepley has recently been enhanced by the creation of a beautiful green recreational area, while a satisfied YCP buyer gave the following testimonial for their lovely new starter house at Skelmanthorpe, saying: "I couldn’t be happier with my dream first home. The Yorkshire Country Properties team's professionalism and kindness made the buying process such an enjoyable experience. I feel lucky to have found them and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat".
