Award-winning Yorkshire Tonics is expanding its range of mixers with the launch of a new tonic called ‘Paradise’ to mark Yorkshire Day on 1 August.
The company – based on the Yorkshire Wolds – has introduced the new tonic following demand from consumers for a crisp and refreshing mixer from God’s Own Country.
Paradise is made with natural extracts of quassia and Mediterranean botanicals including Sicilian lemon and rosemary to give it a fresh, sharp flavour.
Yorkshire Tonics launched three years ago and produces its mixers at its distillery in Thixendale. The tonic is named after a field in front of the distillery which is known locally as Paradise.
Operations director Oliver Medforth said: “Paradise is a versatile mixer which can be paired with any premium gin or vodka or served simply with ice and a slice. We have seen demand grow for this type of tonic from pubs and bars and Paradise ticks the boxes when it comes to being fresh, sharp and strong and made here in Yorkshire.”
The new tonic is produced as a premium mixer, in individual serving sizes of 200ml.
Oliver added: “We’re all holidaying in the UK this year but our Paradise flavour is reminiscent of a Mediterranean holiday – taking you to your own piece of Paradise on your staycation!”
Yorkshire Tonics’ range includes Apple and Elderflower which was awarded 1-star at the Great Taste Awards last year, while its Pink Grapefruit is a 2-star winner and its Citrus, Apple and Elderflower, Skinny and Premium tonics all enjoy accredited vegan status. Popular Strawberry and Pomegranate and Mixed Berry flavours complete the range.
Yorkshire Tonics – including the new Paradise – are sold through farm shops, delis and independents as well as being available in bars and pubs and online
