Flexible workspace provider Wizu Workspace has partnered with Yorkshire-based ethical coffee roaster North Star Coffee to supply a new blend of coffee to its members.
As part of the partnership, both the Leeds and Sheffield workspaces will offer an unlimited supply to members of the unique blend of coffee suitably named the ‘Wizu Blend’.
Rich in flavour, with subtle hints of chocolate and an extra sweet taste, the coffee has been specially created to reinforce the feeling of warmth that members experience when working from Wizu Workspace.
Wizu Workspace prides itself on not being your average office space. It specialises in high specification, uniquely designed private office suites, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and event spaces that are designed to uplift and inspire creativity.
Run by chairman, John Guggenheim, CEO Tom Almas, COO Natasha Babar-Evans and FD Alison Guggenheim, the company exists to support entrepreneurial growth, facilitate economic growth, and better the opportunities available to creatives and all sectors across the North.
Previously sourcing coffee through traditional supply methods, the company decided to switch to the ethical coffee roaster in line with its ongoing mission to support local businesses and aid the growth of the Northern economy.
Natasha Babar-Evans, COO at Wizu Workspace said: “We are really proud to be partnering with North Star. We love that they are pioneers in their ethical stance to coffee procurement. We also feel that the care and attention they give to the coffee and every element of their business aligns well with our approach at Wizu Workspace.”
North Star Coffee Roasters was established in 2013 as the first coffee roastery in Leeds dedicated to providing coffee of the highest quality by working with both origin and wholesale partners to continue a positive cycle of re-investment, innovation and sustainability in an effort to guarantee the supply of outstanding coffee.
Buying only specialty grade Arabica coffees and choosing beans based on their complex flavour profile, cleanliness, and consistency, they work seasonally purchasing fresh green coffee in small batches which is then roasted to showcase the inherent flavours of each bean.
Holly Kragiopoulos, director at North Star Coffee Roasters added: “Just like Wizu Workspace, quality, ethics and support for the economy are at the heart of everything we do, which is what makes this new partnership so exciting.
“We were delighted when Natasha and the team at Wizu Workspace recognised the reasons why we founded our business; the desire to get as much value back to producer level and we were pleased to learn that it aligned to their aims as a business.
“We hope that our relationship with Wizu continues to blossom as they expand across the North.”
