My heart has been warmed this week following the news updates about Captain Tom Moore and his incredible fundraising for the NHS. As I write this, he has raised more than £12m and I'm sure over the coming weeks this amount will increase. I am one of those people shouting for him to receive a Knighthood, not just for the incredible amount of money he has raised for our frontline workers, but for his services to the country during WW2. Let's hope he can go to Buckingham Palace on his actual birthday of 30th April to receive an honour from our Queen.
I have reported on our other publication, https://yorkshirebusinesswoman.co.uk that I am going to try my hand at a bit of gardening during lockdown. Here in the TopicUK office, last year, we received a growing kit from a company called Sow Clever, but it arrived too late to plant. Now is the perfect time, so although green fingered I am not, I'm going to give it a go. Check out the updates at Yorkshire Businesswoman.
Speaking of which, this online magazine is going from strength to strength and only launched a couple of weeks ago. Aimed at business woman, we welcome contribtions from all you lady entrepreneurs, businesses and individuals. Do take a look and let us know what you would like to see on there.
Here in the TopicUK office it's business as usual, the only change for us was that we weren't able to print our current edition, but this is online and on our App (available free from the App Store and Google Play). As a thank you to all our loyal partners, in the forthcoming edition, we have invited them to share their business stories with us and will be promoting their businesses harder than ever. Any clever marketeer knows that it is important during times like these, that marketing is more important than ever, to keep products, services and brands in the public domain, ready for when everything reopens.
Lots of restaurants and hotels are going to have empty reservation books so we are offering a package for those in the hospitality industry, promoting now, as we're sure that when the lockdown is over, many people will be looking to head out to celebrate and they will be looking to sort out Christmas office parties, make sure your businesses is the one they contact and not forgotten about. Email me editor@topicuk.co.uk to find out how we can help.
Please keep your stories coming and we will continue to promote it for you.
Stay safe,
Gill
