Artisan drinks producer Raisthorpe Distillery has expanded its Yorkshire Tonics range with a new seasonal Mixed Berry tonic.
The new Mixed Berry Tonic, which combines strawberries, raspberries, black and redcurrants and brambles, to produce a taste of the Yorkshire harvest in a glass, joins the existing six award-winning Yorkshire Tonic flavours and is available in a 500ml bottle.
The Apple and Elderflower was awarded 1-star at the Great Taste Awards this year, while the Pink Grapefruit is a 2-star winner and the Citrus, Apple and Elderflower, Skinny and Premium tonics all enjoy accredited vegan status. Popular Strawberry and Pomegranate and now Mixed Berry flavours complete the range.
Raisthorpe, based on the Yorkshire Wolds, launched its tonics two years ago in response to consumer demand for premium flavoured tonics of provenance.
Operations director Oliver Medforth says: “We’ve been producing our artisan gins on the farm for more than 10 years and the launch of our Yorkshire Tonics was a natural progression for us. They have been tremendously successful but we don’t want to stop there.
“Made with Yorkshire Wolds water from our own gypsy race, we continue to investigate new flavour combinations to bring out the best in not only our gins but others from around the Yorkshire region. Our recommended serve is to add our Mixed Berry Tonic to a large measure of dry gin.”
Available in 200ml and 500ml bottles the Yorkshire Tonics, along with Raisthorpe Distillery’s artisan spirts, are available from its newly opened shop at the York Designer Outlet shopping centre, as well as online, at delis, independent and farm shops and at Booths supermarkets.
Raisthorpe is a family business, launched more than 10 years ago by Julia Medforth at the family farm in Thixendale.
The company also produces a range of award-winning gin liqueurs, vodkas and dry gin from its own still on the farm.
