There’s some peri good news for visitors to Wakefield’s Trinity Walk after a new restaurant opening was announced.
Expanding independent restaurant chain, Churrasco Group, will launch their latest brand Casa Peri Peri at the Wakefield shopping centre with the fit out already under way.
Former MasterChef UK semi-finalist and international chef, Bobby Geetha, is overseeing the launch of the new dining experience bringing to bear his years of experience from around the globe.
Quality Portuguese-style chicken dishes will be the order of the day set in a brand new restaurant layout in what was the former Pizza Express unit.
It’s another new signing for the Wakefield centre amidst the challenging economic climate on the UK’s high street following the addition of mobile phone store iMobile.
The brains behind Casa Peri Peri are the same people who brought the much loved Estabulo restaurant to Wakefield and Fleur Café which form part of the group’s expansion across the north.
Estabulo positively hit the headlines last year after they hired former royal butler, Trevor Walford, who caught the attention of the nation after handing out hundreds of CVs at a train station.
Bobby said: “Work has already begun on this exciting project and we can’t wait to start serving up our dishes for Wakefield when restrictions relax and hospitality can safely reopen. The dining experience will have a quality feel to it – somewhere you can meet for a date or bring the whole family. The experience is really important to us so every aspect is being planned in detail."
In addition to the popular flame grilled peri peri chicken there will be slow cooked and grilled peri peri beef short rib, spicy rice protein bowl and sizzling hot chocolate fudge brownie – just some of the highlights of the menu developed by chef Bobby.
Churrasco group CEO, Rob Campbell, added: “Our family of brands has gone from strength to strength and knowing how successful Estabulo already is in Wakefield means we are confident Casa Peri Peri will follow suit, especially in such a prime location at Trinity Walk. Quality and choice for customers and the creation of new jobs means we have all the right ingredients for something special.”
Cormac Hamilton, Trinity Walk’s centre manger, said: “Casa Peri Peri will be a vibrant new addition to our already strong range of stores and eateries here at Trinity walk. It means more jobs, more choice and shows that despite the challenging economic climate Trinity Walk will continue to move forward and evolve. Our aim is to always offer an enjoyable and safe experience for millions of visitors every year so when we can bring a new brand to the centre and Wakefield, it’s always extremely exciting.”
Casa Peri Peri is looking for new staff so anyone interested should send a cover letter and CV to info@casaperiperi.co.uk
