I am writing this whilst watching Good Morning Britain celebrating Colonel Tom Moore's 100th Birthday, what an inspiration he is. He has raised over £30m, been made an honorary Colonel by her Majesty The Queen, got a number one single, a Pride of Britain Award, amongst many other honours. We could all learn something from him.
As we are coming to the end of week 6 of lockdown, with no sign of things easing off just yet, I wonder how businesses in our region are getting on. From social media, I can see that some businesses are being innovative and creative, just getting on with things, whilst others are struggling. It's amazing to see that my favourite handbag designers Mulberry are now making hospital gowns for our NHS, as well as more local designers Burberry. Perhaps these gowns will become collectors items once all this is over?
For us here at TopicUK things continue as near normal. We cannot print our publication at the moment due to the lockdown but we have raised our profile ten -fold online and of course, you can still read TopicUK on your mobile device through our website and App.
We are still working hard to promote all of our partners, just in a slightly different way. All of our partners have been offered free space in our forthcoming edition and we have been pushing hard on social media to make sure that their brand stays at the forefront of people's minds. I would like to personally thank them all for working with us during this difficult time for all of us.
