Global designer and manufacturer of contract fabrics, Camira has launched an e-commerce platform which will see trade customers benefit from 24/7 ordering and up to 40% off the recommended retail price of textile products.
Available in the UK, EU, Norway and Switzerland, Camira Trade is part of a 5-year business plan which will see Camira invest in new technologies to support digital growth and enhance the overall customer experience.
Commenting on the launch, Group digital marketing manager, Sam Birkhead said: “Our new e-commerce capability is the first step in our plans to drastically improve the customer experience. It provides unrivalled benefits to both new and existing trade customers in the UK and Europe, who are now able to purchase fabrics 24 hours a week, seven days a week. It also offers customers the ability to make instant stock checks and view lead times instantaneously.”
Fully integrated with Camira’s internal resource planning systems and the website’s backend infrastructure, Camira Trade is part of a wider approach to automation and eCommerce that was introduced in March last year. Camira Trade has generated more than 500 new customers for the business, and automated 50% of sample orders, saving more than 300 hours of administrative time per person for the customer service team.
Sam continued: “Camira Trade customers are now able to browse and purchase more than 1,500 colour choices in Camira’s product portfolio, including acoustic textiles which we’ve seen perform exceptionally well since launching our ecommerce capability. Not only does Camira Trade offer more purchasing options for our UK and European customers, but it also saves a significant amount of time for the customer service team, allowing them to concentrate fully on providing excellent levels of customer support.”
Headquartered in the UK, Camira has manufacturing facilities in the UK and Lithuania, offices and showrooms in Europe, North America, Australia and China and a global network of agents and distributors. The company is a pioneer of innovation and has plans to introduce Camira Trade to other markets, as well as further develop the ecommerce offering in the next few years.
