BJSS, the British technology and engineering consultancy, has announced that it has expanded to Australia, the company’s first location in the Asia-Pacific region.
Basing its first Australian office in Melbourne, BJSS is set to rapidly grow its team to support the company’s existing international and regional Australian clients. BJSS expects to grow this Melbourne operation to a team of 150 first-class IT consultants, who will support the Company’s technology, engineering, consulting, cloud, data and AI services.
Victorian minister for economic development Tim Pallas welcomed the announcement. “Securing the confidence – and investment – of a global tech company such as BJSS is great news for Victoria,” he said.
“As Australia’s No.1 tech city, having BJSS set up its first Asia-Pacific office here in Melbourne will ensure they benefit from our culture of innovation and highly skilled talent, while also strengthening our capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.”
Amir Soufizadeh, head of international expansion, BJSS, added: “We’re excited to continue our international expansion by opening our first office in the APAC region. Melbourne provides a significant opportunity for us to develop closer ties with our global clients and establish new relationships with local organisations. Melbourne is known as Australia’s technology hub and is home to some of the world’s leading tech talent. We’re looking forward to getting started.”
Established in 1993 in Leeds, BJSS is a Queen’s Award for Enterprise-winning technology and engineering consultancy of over 1,500 staff members. Melbourne will be the company’s fourteenth location, and will support other BJSS locations in the UK, USA and Europe.
