Benito’s, the popular Mexican food retailer, is set to open at Leeds Skelton Lake services (J45, M1) on October 14th.
The new Mexican retailer will replace the vacant unit previously occupied by Tortilla and will join the already vast selection of food and drink retailers at Leeds Skelton Lake, which has most recently welcomed M&S Food, Greggs and a 24-hour McDonald’s to its line up.
The Benito’s unit will create 12 new jobs and will be operated by Elangeni Hospitality Group. It will allow customers and visitors to enjoy tasty and fresh Mexican food, from loaded burritos and authentic soft tacos, to refreshing exotic drinks.
The new outlet will be Benitos’ first in Yorkshire, with existing stores including Oxford Westgate and Luton Airport. The move also signals the retailer’s expansion into the motorway services market.
The most recent Transport Focus Motorway Service Users survey rated Extra MSA, which operates Leeds Skelton Lake services, as the nation's top operator for customer satisfaction. This new opening further strengthens the operator’s commitment to continuously invest in its food and drinks offerings and give customers an unparalleled choice of outlets.
Tom Dobson, CEO at Extra MSA Group, said: “We’re very excited to have Benito’s join our motorway network and offer authentic Mexican cuisine to customers at Leeds Skelton Lake services. In welcoming Benito’s we are again making a commitment to go the ‘Extra mile’ for our customers by presenting an exceptional choice of refreshments at our services.”
Alongside its 12 food, drink and retail venues, Leeds Skelton Lake also offers a large outdoor play area, giant indoor games, dog-friendly walking trails and an RSPB viewing deck.
Mike Pearson, CEO at Elangeni Hospitality Group, added: “We’re delighted to be working with the team at Extra MSA Group to bring our high quality Mexican food and drink to Leeds Skelton Lakes. We’re really looking forward to working with the Extra team to further enhance our presence in this pivotal market for us.”
