The Yorkshire Pedalthon, being staged on Thursday 15th June, is once again raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The Pedalthon is the favourite charity bike ride in Yorkshire for the business community and, going into its tenth year, it has attracted more than 1,500 riders from businesses across the region and to date the ride has raised more than £80,000 for regional charities.

Cyclists can choose from two routes of 41 miles and 77 miles through the stunning countryside of “Hockney Country” in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, with both rides starting and finishing at Pocklington Rugby Club. For the first time riders will reach the North Sea Coast line. The food stops along both routes have always been a popular feature of the rides, showcasing some of the best produce the region has to offer. This year will be no different thanks to the support of A.Laverack & Son who have been trading locally for over 150 years, and opened their flagship store in Pocklington in 2018.

Richard Best, CEO of Iconic Cycling Events, the event organisers, commented: “We are delighted to have the support of teams from Yorkshire’s property, legal and other professional services. This year, Zyro Fisher are bringing a team to the ride and have once again generously pledged to match the money raised by their staff for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”

“Their support, along with the participating cyclists is vital in ensuring we raise as much money as possible for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which provides such an essential service for Yorkshire and beyond.”

Entry is open to both individuals and corporate teams and costs £70 per rider, £360 per
team of 6, £480 per team of 8 or £600 per team of 10.
