Pioneering cocktail bar The Alchemist, Trinity Leeds turns 10 this month and is celebrating a decade of ground-breaking creativity by bringing back some of its most beloved hero cocktails. Opening back in 2013 in the then brand-new Trinity shopping complex, The Alchemist quickly established itself as a visionary brand that led where others followed.

The bar’s impressive rooftop location with its terrace overlooking Boar Lane was another big draw for the brand's rapidly emerging cult following.

Unexpected creations
Combining the drama of theatre with the fine art of molecular mixology and the joy of immersive and unexpected creations, this was more than just your average cocktail bar. Fast forward 10 years, The Alchemist has expanded to 20 venues across major cities in the UK with their first international bar opening in Berlin this May and is considered the gold standard within the industry.

Over the years, The Alchemist’s team of expert mixologists have crafted dozens of ground-breaking cocktail menus and hosted countless all-immersive experiences. To mark the key 10th birthday milestone in the brand’s history, regulars will be pleased to learn they’re bringing a selection of hero cocktails back for a limited time only.

Wonderfully rich
One such classic is the ingenious Butter Beer, of course, inspired by the iconic Harry Potter tipple. This wonderfully rich creation blends Sailor Jerry’s Rum, salted vanilla syrup, Licor 43, salted caramel liqueur, soda and beer to great effect.

Also back is the zingy Key Lime Pie, which mixes up Bacardi Carta Blanca, Midori, Koko Kanu, apple, lime, biscuits, and toasted meringue foam, creating a refreshing take on the classic dessert.

Fans of The Alchemist’s signature Smoky Old Fashioned may gravitate towards the Maple Manhattan, which fuses Buffalo Trace Bourbon with Martini Rubino, Jerry Thomas Bitters and maple foam to create a dark and sophisticated drink aimed at the more discerning cocktail aficionado.

The comeback cocktails will be available alongside the latest inventive food menu, designed to tantalize the taste buds throughout spring and summer 2023. Stand out dishes include the new Pancake Stacks and Duck Pancake Sharer The Alchemy Brunch has also had a glow up with new dishes and 3 cocktails for £28 available every weekend to the sounds of your favourite 90’s playlist.
