The flourishing Yorkshire-based The Hair Dr – Hair Transplant Clinic has won the prestigious UK Hair Transplant Clinic of the Year award.
The International Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards, the Oscars of the cosmetic surgery world, were held at a glittering dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel in London’s West End.
The clinic is based at the multi-disciplinary Leeds Private Hospital in the historic 16th century Red Hall House in Shadwell, Leeds.
Dr Fas Arshad, the founder and lead surgeon of The Hair Dr – Hair Transplant Clinic, explained: “This is a tremendous honour and we are so proud. Thank you to all those who voted for us, including patients, kindly recognising our dedication to this very special surgical field.
“This is a reward for our rigorous commitment to a stonewall belief in the solid pillars of patient safety, excellence and dedication. The award endorses our core beliefs of acting safely and ethically to provide the highest standards in hair transplant surgery.”
“The category was very competitive with several other leading UK hair transplant clinics nominated, so we were both humbled and excited when we were announced as the winners.
“I’d like to pay tribute to my wife and business partner Ms Sommiya, together with our loyal, and dedicated staff. We are hugely grateful both to our patients and hardworking team for all of their support. This wouldn’t have been possible without them. Being nominated and winning prestigious awards like these makes everything worthwhile,” said Dr Arshad.
The awards were created eight years ago to underline the importance of the cosmetic surgery industry and to pay tribute to clinics who were responsible for transforming and empowering people’s lives in the safest and most positive ways.
This coveted award comes hard on the heels of the news that planning approval has been granted for the second phase of Dr Arshad’s Leeds Private Hospital at Red Hall. This will comprise a large day case surgery unit with full operating theatres as well as examination, treatment and consulting rooms and will create 40 new jobs and ease the heavy burden on the over-run NHS in the Yorkshire region.
