Yorkshire Country Properties, one of the leading residential property developers in the north of England, has been shortlisted for two major awards.
The Huddersfield-based company is in contention to win the Best Housebuilder of the Year and the Best Residential Development of the Year (fewer than 100 homes) in the prestigious Yorkshire Property Industry Awards
The winners of the YPIA awards, organised by Yorkshire Business Insider magazine, will be announced at a glittering ceremony at New Dock Hall in Leeds on Thursday September 21.
Since Yorkshire Country Properties was founded in 2017, the company has established a strong reputation for building dream country properties surrounded by the stunning Yorkshire countryside.
Managing director Paul Brown commented: “We are tremendously proud to have been shortlisted in these two hotly contested categories in the Yorkshire Property Industry Awards. Huge thanks are due to the management team and employees at Yorkshire Country Properties for their imagination, enterprise and hard work, which have all combined towards our success.”
YCP selects desirable village locations close to a wide range of amenities, highly rated local schools and with easy connections by road or rail to towns like Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Leeds and Manchester, as well as the M1. As housebuilders, the company respects the heritage of the communities it is part of by paying close attention to every detail of the planning, construction and home buying process. YCP chooses sustainable, characterful materials that complement their natural surroundings.
Yorkshire Country Properties are currently on site with developments at Knowle Grange, Shepley, which has been shortlisted in the YPIA awards, Denby Dale and Skelmanthorpe in West Yorkshire.
Paul Brown explained: “We strongly believe our Shepley development will be viewed favourably by future generations, both because of its appearance with beautiful Yorkshire stone, but also because our homes enabled young couples and single parents to get on to the property ladder at a very challenging time for the housing market. There is nothing like this development in the surrounding area and that is a key reason why we believe Knowle Grange will stand the test of time.
“Overall, we have made a positive and focussed contribution to the housing provision in the Kirklees and West Yorkshire area. We have completed a development at Netherthong, where we have sold every single one of the 22 beautiful houses we built, while our three current developments are providing much-needed housing, including a significant number of starter homes, enabling young people to get on to the property ladder.”
The starter homes at Phase One at Shepley have sold out, underpinning their contribution to both the community and to sustainability in the three villages. In total, YCP is building 147 beautiful, high-quality homes – from one-bed starter homes to five-bed family homes. In all, the company is looking at a possible pipeline of over 700 new homes.
