National trade body, the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has announced Howarth Timber and Building Supplies, which has its headquarters in Leeds, as one of five nominees for its Training Company of the Year 2023 Award.
Nominees are selected by BMF Regional Managers based on their commitment to supporting and developing their teams through BMF training.
As part of a commitment to training and staff development, Howarth Timber and Building Supplies ensure all new employees are given a sound understanding of the building sector through BMF’s ‘How a house is built’ course.

Howarth Timber and Building Supplies has operated in Leeds for more than 180 years and now boasts 37 branches across the country.
The company is an active BMF member – Nicholas Howarth was named a BMF Top Merchant Influencer in 2022.
Howarth Timber and Building Supplies was nominated by BMF Regional Manager for the North, Chris Heeks.

The BMF Training Company of the Year 2023 will be announced at the BMF Members’ Day Awards Dinner on September 21, following the BMF Members’ Day Annual Conference at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham.
