Yeadon Town Hall is all set for 2020

Yeadon Town Hall CIC took over management of the Town Hall in April 2019, and have since revolutionised the venue’s line-up, bringing a wide variety of live entertainment to the stage.

2020 is set to be no different, with the team expanding its range of shows to include live music, tribute artists, ballet, musicals and variety shows. There really is something for everyone at the Town Hall.

Jamie Hudson, CEO, says: “The team here and our loyal patrons are really excited for 2020. We’ve got such a variety of shows coming up, so whether you fancy a trip to the ballet or an evening rocking out to The Beatles’ greatest hits we’re sure you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Town Hall next year.”

Cinderella (Friday 17 January – Saturday 25 January, times vary)
Yeadon Charities Association present their annual pantomime Cinderella! Get ready for plenty of panto jokes, songs and stunning choreography. Will you join us at the ball?

The Magic of Gilbert and Sullivan (Thursday 6 – Saturday 8 February, times vary)

This show promises to be a glorious gallop through Iolanthe and Ruddigore, exploring the magic and mystery contained in these two fabulous shows.

Black Dyke Band (Sunday 9 February, 2pm)

Enjoy perfect Sunday afternoon entertainment, listening to one of the UK’s very best brass bands.

Macbeth (Tuesday 11 & Wednesday 12 February, times vary)

This engaging and fast-paced adaptation of Macbeth is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for a modern audience.

Showaddywaddy (Friday 14 February, 7.30pm)

The legendary pop/rock group Showaddywaddy perform everyone’s favourite hits, in addition to album tracks and new songs.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical (Saturday 15 February, 7.30pm)

A brand new musical comedy is created live in front of your very eyes at each performance of this multi award-winning show.

Yeadon Beer Festival (Friday 28 – Saturday 29 February, 12pm-11pm)

Try the best local booze at Yeadon Town Hall’s very first beer festival. Enjoy beer from local suppliers, a wide variety of additional drink options, great food and live entertainment.

Oklahoma (Tuesday 10 – Saturday 14 March, times vary)

Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the society, Yeadon Theatre Company present the ever popular Rogers & Hammerstein musical Oklahoma.

An Evening of Clairvoyance with Medium Steve Holbrook (Thursday 19 March, 7.30pm)

Steve Holbrook, regarded by many as one of the UK’s top Clairvoyant Mediums, brings messages of reassurance to people who have lost their loved ones.

Jane Eyre (Thursday 26 – Saturday 28 March, times vary)

Blackeyed Theatre presents a brand new stage adaptation of one of the greatest works of English fiction. Captivating, brooding and intensely powerful, Jane Eyre is a moving and unforgettable portrayal of one woman’s quest for equality and freedom.

Futurist Theatre Productions Presents Chicago (Wednesday 1 – Saturday 4 April, times vary)

Chicago takes you through the crimes, time in prison and subsequent trials of two Vaudevillian criminals Roxie and Velma – a must-see musical!

Through the Decades with Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly (Friday 10 April, 7.30pm)

The Lady Boys of Bangkok (Thursday 16 April, 7.30pm)

The Lady Boys of Bangkok are back with their most elaborate show yet: Flight of Fantasy! Some of the world’s most glamorous showgirls (who just happen to be men!) take you soaring to a new world with the biggest party in town.

Jekyll and Hyde (Wednesday 22 April, 1.30pm and 7.30pm)

Enjoy this classic novella as one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. A comedy with all the drama left in!

The Northern Soultrain (Friday 24 April, 7.30pm)

The Northern Soultrain arrive at Yeadon Town Hall for what promises to be a great night with one of the most authentic soul bands around today!

BrassNeck Theatre Company present Legally Blonde (Tuesday 12 – Saturday 16 May, times vary)

Follow the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This fantastic musical is based on the adored movie – not one to be missed!

Sense and Sensibility (Thursday 4 June, 7.30pm)

Join Ballet Theatre UK as they delve into the romantic world of Jane Austin with their classical adaptation of Sense and Sensibility.

Back for its second year, The Gin and Prosecco Festival returns to Yeadon Town Hall, offering an exciting range of drinks and of course a programme of live entertainment to enjoy throughout the day.

The Bench (Wednesday 10 June, 7.30pm)

A hilarious play full of twists and turns, intrigue and sharp wit written by the award-winning Kier McAllister, The Bench tells the tale of an epic conflict over a public bench!

T.Rexstasy (Friday 12 June, 7.30pm)

Do you love to Boogie? Join T.Rextasy for a night of nonstop T.Rex hits, including Ride a White Swan, 20th Century Boy, Bang a Gong (Get It On), Jeepster and many more!

Clearwater Credence Revival (Saturday 13 June, 7.30pm)

This tour will celebrate the 50th anniversary of two classic albums: Cosmo’s Factory and Pendulum. The band will perform both albums in their entirety, plus greatest hits!

Enjoy tributes to Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers as funny man Alan Mosca – formerly of Freddie & The Dreamers – retells the stories of yesteryear with song and a touch of comedy.

Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young (Friday 27 November, 7.30pm)

One of the UK’s most popular live touring bands, Los Pacaminos, play the very best in Tex Mex Border music from The Texas Tornadoes and Ry Cooder to Los Lobos and even Roy Orbsion.

Christmas Lights Switch On (Sunday 22 November, from 12pm)
