Work completes on new homes in Menston
Work is complete on a stunning small-scale development in the Wharfedale village of Menston, that has seen a selection of historic Grade II listed Victorian buildings converted into seven large and completely individual bespoke homes.
Menston Mews is the latest new homes development being marketed for sale by Yorkshire estate agency firm, Dacre, Son & Hartley. The remaining three, four and five bedroom homes all offer extremely generous living areas, with a mix of vast open plan kitchen / living spaces, as well as several designs featuring separate living rooms.
The scheme, by local development company, Toto Project, forms part of the multi-award-winning transformation of the former High Royds Hospital into hundreds of homes set in 200 acres of parkland complete with bridleways, ponds, tennis courts and sports pitches.
Lesley Shakeshaft, who heads up Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Burley in Wharfedale office, said: “These splendid homes are the result of a painstaking restoration process. The developer has revived all the buildings’ original character and blended it with a high-end contemporary finish to create a magnificent collection of individual homes.
“Tall sash windows flood the houses with natural height and each home boasts unique features such as double height ceilings, which further enhance the spacious feel of the already large living areas. Outside the homes benefit from both private gardens and shared landscaped gardens enclosed with mature trees.
“Located on the fringe of Menston, and close to all Guiseley’s amenities, these homes are in a very popular location with excellent schools, lovely countryside, rail links, sports clubs, shops, bars and restaurants all nearby.”
All the homes benefit from high performing insulation, underfloor heating throughout and Villeroy and Boch sanitaryware. The elegant kitchens feature Silestone Quartz worktops, Blanco sink units and taps, as well as integrated Miele appliances. There’s also outside storage, dedicated parking and EV points.
