Welcome to new contributors

I am delighted that our new business woman section launched last edition has been so well received, so much so, we have already increased pagination for the next issue. There are lots of inspirational women across our region and we want to hear from them so we can share their journeys.

As that section grows, we are delighted to be joined by two such inspirational business ladies. Actress, Presenter and founder of The Capsule, Natalie Anderson will be writing a regular column for our readers focussing on health, beauty and wellbeing. Natalie is the founder of The Capsule, a website dedicated to helping small business owners. Natalie, a young mum, looks incredible so I for one will be keeping an eye out for her style tips!

Also joining us is fellow publisher Laura Bartlett, founding and editor in chief of House of Coco. Laura’s amazing magazine has just celebrated its fifth birthday. Laura is one lucky lady. House of Coco covers travel, fashion and the arts and the travel takes Laura all over the world where she reviews hotels, restaurants and destinations. She is going to share these travels with TopicUK readers and focus on destinations for our women readers. Laura and I shared dinner last night at Sukhothai (we’ll also be sharing that experience) and I listened to her amazing journey, you are in for a treat!

Ahead of her new play, Band of Gold launching at The Grand Theatre this Autumn, before touring the country, we feature Kay Mellor in our next edition. Kay is such an inspiration and this is a feature not to be missed.

We also welcome back John Lewis & Partners who will be telling us all about their amazing range of party wear for both men and women, to get us ready and looking our best for the festive season.

I’m looking forward to my trip to Filey in a few days time where I have been invited to a blue plaque unveiling at the White Lodge Hotel. This beautiful hotel set on the cliff top was the former home of Dame Madge Kendall, the actress and director who owned the building as a holiday home many years ago. We’ll bring you the full story of that, and the shipwreck that has been found just off the coast, with owner of The White Lodge part of a team who are planning to raise this historic vessel.

As TopicUK continues to grow and expand, we also welcome two new partners, BeVic, a PR and marketing agency based in Leeds and Contedia, an IT specialist from Pontefract. We are looking forward to promoting both businesses and sharing their news with readers.

I’ve also been out and about with an new addition to my growing bag collection, a gorgeous leather business bag from Maxwell Scott. This has been admired wherever I have been and I will be showing that off shortly. Maxwell Scott, who are based locally in York, have just launched their new City collection for both men and women, definitely worth a look as the gift buying season starts. www.maxwellscottbags.com as a bonus, for a limited time, they are also offering a free accessory with every purchase!

After attending The Capsule launch event at Lamberts Yard in Leeds, hosted by Natalie Anderson, I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of products from Clockface Beauty who have a range of skincare for men and women. Founded by a mother and daughter partnership, Clockface is a multi-award winning 100% natural organic skincare range that is vegan and cruelty free. I have the most divine smelling facial oil moisturiser and a luxury face mask to sample. I am already using the moisturising oil and after just a few days my face does feel less dry. I have yet to try the face mask, but will keep you posted.

Keep sending us your news and we’ll continue to share it with everyone else. We have exciting news coming soon that’s not quite ready to share but I think our partners and collaborators will be delighted.
