Website maintenance App scoops second award shortlist in two months
A pioneering website maintenance app developed by Leeds tech entrepreneur Phil Storey is in the running for one of Yorkshire’s most prestigious business awards.
Glow has been shortlisted in the Innovation category of the well-respected Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.
It is the second time the multifunctional web-based app has been recognised as innovative technology since hitting the market in May 2020.
In September, Glow was also a finalist in the Innovation category of the Leeds Digital Festival Awards which was won by Leeds R&D company Vet AI.
Phil Storey, founder of Glow said: “The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards are one of Yorkshire’s most prestigious business awards, so when the shortlist was announced, we couldn’t believe our eyes – we’d only just been recognised as a finalist of the Leeds Digital Festival awards.
“We knew the power that the technology behind Glow had and its potential to streamline the processes involved with website maintenance, however the response we’ve had in such a short space of time has been incredible.
“There’s been such a strong demand for the app and that, coupled with industry recognition, means we can continue to push forward, challenge perceptions and make a real difference as part of the UK’s thriving digital scene.”
Glow is one of only a handful of website maintenance apps available globally and the first of its kind in the UK to offer a built-in support ticket system, mini-CRM functionality and a profit tracker for marketing agencies.
Its full suite of website maintenance tools include backup functionality, uptime monitoring, high-level security, quick, hassle-free updates to the WordPress core, themes and plugins, as well as custom development work.
On 4 November, Glow will go up against EthOss Regeneration Ltd, Avacta, Exa Networks, Merlin Soft, and Anthropods &Co Ltd. for the winning title of Innovation of the Year.
