To celebrate their new Research Helper service designed to deliver insight in just a three-day turnaround, UX and behavioural research consultancy, SimpleUsability, is offering one UK start-up business the chance to win a research package worth over £5000.

A panel of judges will decide on one start-up they agree that will benefit from the research the most, according to their business mission. Judges include journalist for the Independent, Andy Martin, Tech Nation entrepreneur engagement manager, Jem Henderson, SimpleUsability founder, Guy Redwood and Simon Penson, partner at start-up investment firm, Haatch Ventures.

Guy Redwood, founder of SimpleUsability comments: “Having in-depth understanding of customer behaviour will help improve customer experience within any start-up business. Strategic decisions are then made based on fact instead of gutfeel and having this information your arsenal makes you more attractive to investors and keeps customers returning. We’re looking for an innovative start-up that can demonstrate how this knowledge will positively impact on their business.”

Start-ups are asked to consider an aspect of their business they would like testing. This could either be UX research, giving them a head start on understanding the needs of users or behavioural research to understand the customer decision making processes. The Research Helper team will match real people who fit your customer profile and gain valuable insights which previous start-up clients have used to secure investment and improve their customer experience. All services will be conducted remotely between the start-up and Research Helper team.

One start-up will win:

  • One day of preparation and planning, working together on the right questions to ask recruitment of five participants, profiled against the audience you are most interested in learning more about.
  • Research Helper even pay their incentives
  • One day of research, UX or behavioural
  • De-brief with the Research Helper team to help you make sense of the findings
  • One day of reporting back on the results of the research
