Triton Project Group Holdings acquires PES
Triton Project Solutions has announced its acquisition of Power Engineering Services (PES), a Leeds-based electrical engineering specialist. The acquisition aligns both businesses under the newly formed Triton Project Group Holdings company, marking the beginning of a new chapter for PES. The move was made possible along with Ben Whitaker, the existing driving force at PES, who will become the company's new Managing Director and shareholder.
Ben, who began his career at PES as an apprentice at the age of 17, brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the business. Over a seven-year period he progressed through various senior roles within the contracting arm of a distribution network operator, and later held key positions at a leading independent connection provider and EPC contractor. He oversaw high-profile projects up to 132,000 volts across sectors including Battery Energy Storage Systems and renewables. Whitaker’s diverse experience and leadership will help guide PES into a new era of growth.
"Having started here as an apprentice at 17, I have seen firsthand the dedication and hard work that have built this company.” He commented. “This acquisition not only ensures the stability and continuity of our operations, but also allows us to expand our capabilities while continuing to provide the excellent service our customers expect. We have ambitious plans to transform the market, creating new jobs and opportunities within the business. Our commitment to driving PES forward and expanding into global markets remains stronger than ever.”
PES has built a solid reputation for its pioneering approach to sustainability, particularly through its practice of acquiring and refurbishing second-hand renewable equipment, giving it a second life. This green initiative is central to PES’s business model and aligns with the broader goals of the new management to lead the way in reinventing British engineering.
Mark Wray, who founded PES in 2000, expressed his confidence in the new leadership: “Seeing PES transition to the capable hands of Ben and the Triton Projects team is immensely gratifying. The business has been my life's work, and I am confident that this new chapter will bring about great achievements.”
Triton Projects and PES now share common shareholders within the Triton Group, ensuring a seamless integration and collaboration between the two entities. This new partnership aims to strengthen the capabilities of both companies, leveraging their combined expertise to drive forward the vision of making PES a global enterprise.
Graham Foxcroft, founder/CEO said, "The acquisition of PES, facilitated by Triton Projects, allows us to synergise the strengths of both businesses and broaden our electrical services for clients. Together, we'll innovate, improve our sustainable practices, and set new standards in the industry. We're looking forward to supporting PES as they grow and succeed within the Triton family."
