TopicUK launches new section

As we have just completed another edition that will publish this week, we are delighted to have launched a new businesswoman section.

Featured in this first edition is Sarah Haran, showcasing her new handbag collection, one of which I am the proud owner of. Sarah’s bags are both practical and stylish and I just love how they can be adapted from day to evening in seconds. You can read the full article on page 80 of the forthcoming edition.

Ruth Jones from Gavin and Stacey fame was in our region, at the Under The Stars Festival. This annual event takes place at Cawthorne just outside Barnsley and features music, comedy and something for all the family.

We also feature in the new section Georgina Brooker, who’s business is booming at the moment with the wedding and racing seasons upon us. Georgina makes gorgeous hats and fascinators with much of her handiwork on display at the recent Royal Ascot day I was delighted to be a part of at Bibis Italianissimo.

We also partnered with John Lewis Leeds and feature their new Style Department that can be found on the first floor. Our lovely business development executive Mandy Taylor went along to find out what services they offer to busy working ladies. They will be a regular feature going forward. There will also be a new travel column with Laura Bartlett from House of Coco.

Do pick up your copy and let us know if you would like to feature.

I was delighted to again attend the beautiful Grand Theatre this time to see the classic adaptation of Dirty Dancing. Sadly this is now closed if you didn’t get chance to see it, but next week, it’s the turn of Saturday Night Fever, a show I will certainly be at. I remember the original film back in the 1970s and first saw the theatre production on Broadway in the 1990s.

After a short break for the Summer holidays, we are looking forward to ladies networking at TopicUK partner, Dakota Deluxe Leeds which is back on 4th September with afternoon tea from 1pm to 3pm. Be sure to book early to this popular event to avoid disappointment.

Mandy and I were delighted to meet up with the team from Maxwell Scott Bags yesterday at Ivy Leeds, and they will be featuring their new collection in the November edition of TopicUK. They have all the must have essentials for the professional business lady from bags to iPad and phone cases. Check them out in our edition publishing on 31st October.

As we continue to grow, we are delighted to welcome new partners, Town Hall Dental, Yorkshire Payments and Easy Fireplaces. We will be featuring all their news over the next 12 months.

Hope you enjoy our new edition, oh and I can’t close without a mention to our lovely cover star, Ryan Sidebottom who many of you will recognise not just for his cricket, but his skills on Dancing on Ice. Check out his full story only with TopicUK.
