National homebuyer, The Property Buying Company, has hit back against coronavirus this Boxing Day, by installing a state of the art gym at its headquarters in Leeds.
The fitness space, officially unveiled by pro boxer, Jack Bateson, has been designed by the CEOs to encourage strong physical and mental wellbeing throughout the company. It also doubles as a Christmas gift to thank the team for their efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The setup consists of an Origin Fitness air bike, treadmill, dumbbell rack and multi gym. Plus an Exigo punch bag, personally signed by Bateson himself.
Jonathan Christie, CEO and Co-Founder of The Property Buying Company, commented: “We don’t cut corners when it comes to investing in our team. Without their commitment and cooperation, we wouldn’t have emerged from ‘lockdown season’ in such good shape, so if you ask us, the gym is a well-deserved Christmas present. But saying that, it’s intended to be more than just a ‘thank you’.
“The core idea behind the gym is to ensure that every member of the team is both physically and mentally well. This is one of the main reasons why we chose Jack to cut the ribbon - his success as a boxer has relied on his strength in both of these areas.
“We like to think that taking this proactive attitude towards health and wellbeing makes us an attractive employer, and will work to support our continued growth post Covid.”
The gym was brought to life by commercial interior designers, Design Tonic, and took just 2 weeks of socially distanced renovations to complete.
Jack Bateson added: “Being a boxer, the gym is my second home and I have to say, the setup at TPBC is impressive! I can really see it having a positive impact on the team. A big thanks to Jonny for granting me VIP access – I’ll be sure to take a swing at the punch bag before my next fight.”
