The Broadway,Bradford donates funds to Bradford Nightstop
The Broadway, Bradford has made a donation of £3,500 to its charity partner, Bradford Nightstop. The organisation, which works to prevent youth homelessness and provide emergency accommodation, is a valuable support system for the region’s most vulnerable.
The generous donation has been made by The Broadway to honour the partnership made in early 2020 which pledged to help raise funds throughout the year. Due to national and regional restrictions in reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic, fundraising events were unable to be held.
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, Bradford, said: “The Broadway is at the heart of the Bradford community and it is hugely important to us that we support local people and organisations.
“2020 has been a challenging year for all and the effects of the pandemic are being felt throughout the community in many different ways. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to contribute towards Bradford Nightstop and support a charity that helps so many people in the region.”
Joy Rainbow, manager at Bradford Nightstop, said: “We are so pleased to be The Broadway’s chosen charity this year and are extremely grateful for the donation made by the team at the Centre.
“Despite this year’s challenges the Centre will provide a huge amount of help and support with this generous donation, which we are really thankful for. Youth homelessness is an increasingly big issue in Bradford, but this funding will contribute to building a brighter future for those in need. It will enable Bradford Nightstop to develop new work to support homeless young people in 2021.”
Since 2016 The Broadway has raised more than £40,000 for its previous charity partner, Bradford Hospitals’ Charity.
