Technology boom drives resourcing company growth
A Yorkshire technology resourcing company expects revenue to double to £7m and create an additional 10 jobs in the next 12 months as the sector continues to boom.
SPG Resourcing helps companies and organisations across the digital sector find the talent they need. It operates nationally from offices in Leeds and Newcastle.
A government report predicted that the digital sector would create 42,000 new jobs by 2025.
The company saw revenue hit £3.4m in its first 17 months and recruited 11 staff. It works across the technology sector with specialisms in health and social housing.
Sam Hameed, co-founder and managing director of SPG Resourcing, said: “There is no doubt the economy will face headwinds in 2023, but a global push toward digital transformation drives the technology sector, and we expect demand to remain robust. The region is a fast-growing hotspot for the digital industry, with large employers ranging from the NHS to Flutter and large consulting firms.
“The availability of good candidates remains the only constraint on growth, and we are working with partners to do our part in developing the talent pipeline.”
SPG Resourcing is part of the Solution Performance Group, which helps companies achieve their digital transformation goals by providing technology consultancy and talent recruitment services.
It provides interim and permanent technology resources to many businesses, from insurance and financial services to health, housing and large FTSE businesses.
Sam Hameed concluded: “Our region has all the building blocks to be a global technology hub, and it’s important the industry comes together to work collaboratively to address the challenges of talent recruitment and retention.”
SPG Resourcing organises regular dinners for business leaders in the region’s technology sector to support networking and address key issues facing the industry.
