Tech entrepreneur inspires Yorkshire’s young professionals
Technology entrepreneur Tim Hyde coached young professionals in Leeds to be brave in their career choices and follow their dreams.
The 27-year-old from Greater Manchester started his career at LadBible aged 18 before moving on to social media agency Social Chain, which floated on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange at a valuation of €774.4m.
Tim now owns TWH Media and is an award-winning marketer specialising in social media marketing, brand strategy and start-up consultancy.
He spoke at the Fresh Thinking Network, which holds monthly events to provide networking opportunities and training seminars from inspirational speakers. It is supported by the wider deal-making community with speakers from leading professional services firms.
Commenting on the event, Tim Hyde, said: “I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to speak to young professionals about my career and some of the choices I made. It’s essential to have confidence in your abilities if you want to take the leap and progress in your career.
Since its launch, TWH Media has spent more than £100m on Facebook advertising for clients, which has generated more than £500m in revenue for businesses such as Adidas, Amazon, Dreamworks and Huel.
The network is backed by Fresh Thinking Capital and has featured speakers from across the professional services and deal-making community, alongside inspirational speakers from the world of sports ranging from rugby to mountaineering.
