New strategy for the Huddersfield Town Foundation
On Friday 28 January, the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s annual ‘Wear Blue Day’,
a range of the charity’s partners and supporters gathered at the John Smith’s
Stadium for the launch of its new strategy!
Around 50 people were in attendance at the Fantastic Media Suite including

New book captures first decade for Yorkshire Children’s Charity
A Yorkshire charity is marking ten years of service to children with the
publication of a new book.
Launched in 2011, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity was set up by
businessman Mike Davies, MBE.
Inspired by his own traumatic childhood, Mike established the Skipton-based

The Eagles Foundation, a registered charity in Sheffield which aims to harness
the power of sport to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals’ lives in
the Sheffield City Region, is celebrating an award of £93,650 by The National
Lottery Heritage Fund for a project which will record and
York law firm partners with Yorkshire’s largest domestic abuse charity
Torque Law have formed a corporate partnership with IDAS, who are the largest
specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting anyone experiencing or affected by
domestic abuse or sexual violence.
IDAS services include providing refuge accommodation, community-based support,
peer mentoring, group work and access to a free, confidential out of hours’
helpline.
Calderdale children have so much fun in school holidays
Calderdale Council and the Community Foundation for Calderdale have supported
organisations to run Healthy Holiday schemes during the school holidays that
provide lots of different activities for children to try and also offer healthy
meals and snacks too.
