The iconic robot has rolled into Trinity Kitchen and is available to visit from now until January 6th, with visitors encouraged to take a photo with the droid and its sci-fi set-up.
The arrival coincides with the launch of the last in a trilogy of sci-fi films being screened in cinemas from December 19th.
Danielle Harris, Marketing Manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “We’re really excited to welcome our newest arrival to Trinity Leeds. Visitors can catch a glimpse of the droid in situ at Trinity Kitchen, and on selected weekends it will be in motion as it moves around the set.
“Whether you’re doing your Christmas shopping or making the most of the Boxing Day and January sales, make sure you pop in to see it!”
Snap-happy shoppers are encouraged to take a selfie with the robot, which is the latest in a series of new photo opportunities around the shopping centre, with festive locations including a new 60ft Christmas tree at the Briggate entrance, a ‘Pucker Up Perch’ swing, a giant bauble wreath, a car packed full of presents, a light-up loveheart and the annual Kissmas tree.
Visitors can win thousands of pounds worth of prizes by sharing their selfies on social media using the hashtag #PuckerUpLeeds and tagging @TrinityLeeds on social media.
Prizes worth up to £250 will be given away every day between now and 24th December, including a year’s supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a cocktail making experience at The Alchemist.
