Property lawyer and retail specialist, Steven Silver, has joined LCF Law’s commercial property team as a partner in the firm’s Leeds office.
Steven has enjoyed a successful career working at the likes of Bradford property law firm Sugden and Spencer and Radcliffes Le Brasseur in Leeds. He then joined Yorkshire Cooperative Society as their first in-house lawyer and following several mergers, he became Deputy Group Counsel of the Cooperative Group Limited.
Moving to Weightmans LLP and most recently spending the last two years with Squire Patton Boggs, as a director, working across the company’s Manchester and Leeds offices, in total he has spent more than three decades advising on all aspects of commercial property law, with particular expertise in development work and the retail sector.
Steven, who is ranked as a ‘Leading Individual’ by industry bible The Legal 500 UK, will now work alongside LCF Law’s existing commercial property partner, David Jameson.
Steven said: “LCF Law is a law firm, with a flourishing client list in the commercial property sector that also offers continued scope for growth, which makes this a very exciting and appealing career move.”
Simon Stell, managing partner said: “Steven is a vastly experienced property lawyer and will be a welcome addition to our respected commercial property team. He has strong connections in the regional property market and joins at an exciting time, as we continue to win a wide range of commercial property work, throughout Yorkshire and beyond and following our recent Leeds move to new offices at 33 Park Place.”
