Scriba launches ‘Drink and Think Again’ for Conscious Youth

Huddersfield-based Scriba PR is rallying family, friends and clients to join them for their latest fundraiser in aid of a local community organisation.

Following the last event – which raised £2,044 for Thrombosis UK – the team is once again hosting an evening of fizz, fun, food and fact-finding. The ‘Drink and Think Again’ quiz night will take place on Friday 8th March, complete with sop-supper and a well-stocked bar. Tickets are now on sale at £10 per person.

Teams of between one to four will be put to the test for the chance to win a £100 cash prize. Two tickets to a British Touring Car Championship are also up for grabs, extra raffle prizes. The evening will include a range of games and entertainment, in the hope of achieving the team’s £1,500 target.

This year, funds will be raised for Conscious Youth – a not-for-profit community interest company based at the Media Centre in Huddersfield. Joint directors – Sophie Simpson and Serena Johnson – work in local communities on a grassroots level, supporting young people aged 8-24 by delivering empowering youth-led projects and activities. These build self-esteem, broaden experiences, raise aspirations and help them to make better life choices. Through the new initiative Conscious Woman, they also now work with women of all ages.

Commenting on the fundraiser, Scriba’s managing director, Katie Mallinson said:

“Every year we try to ‘dig deep’ – whilst having fun – to support a worthy cause. Conscious Youth is doing incredible things for many people – especially youngsters – in the region, so we’re looking to our clients, friends of the business and family to join us and get involved with supporting its mission.”
