Schoolchildren’s artwork lights up Bonfire Night

White Rose Shopping Centre is delighted to announce the winners of its annual bonfire night poster design competition in association with Leeds City Council, which saw more than 600 entries from schools across South Leeds.

White Rose sponsors both the Middleton Park and Springhead Park, Rothwell bonfire events, where the winning posters – chosen by White Rose and Leeds City Council – will be displayed.

The winning designs have been created by Amelija Gratkauskaite, age 9, and Isabelle Brady, age 4. Their designs will be on display at Middleton Park and Springhead Park bonfires respectively, which take place from 7pm on Monday 5 November.

Steven Foster, General Manager of White Rose Shopping Centre, said: “The Middleton and Springhead Park bonfires are one of our favourite events in the calendar, and we’ve been blown away by this year’s fantastic competition entries. There’s so much talent and creativity on display, and we hope to encourage these budding young artists for years to come.

“We’re honoured to be a part of this year’s festivities alongside our South Leeds community.”
