DARTING showmen Eric Bristow and Wayne Mardle will arrive at Featherstone Rovers next week – fresh from their TV duties at the Grand Slam in Wolverhampton.

‘Crafty Cockney’ Bristow, the five-times World Champion, will be joined by ‘Hawaii-501’ Mardle to play against members of the audience in the Cappers Bar at the Big Fellas Stadium on Friday November 20 (8pm).Rovers coach Jon Sharp will also be bringing some of his players along to enjoy the evening – and they could even take on the legends!

There are limited tickets remaining for the event, priced £15, which also includes a Q&A session with both players as part of the evening.

Rovers Commercial Manager Paul Taylor said: “Both Eric and Wayne are great characters, they always have forthright views on Sky Sports and the entertainment at the Grand Slam is awesome once again.

“We are proud to have these two guys at the Big Fellas Stadium next Friday and, not surprisingly, the response has been great.

“There are only have standard tickets remaining after the VIP tickets went in short space of time. We had a great night with Wayne last November and with the addition of Eric Bristow I’m sure it will be another night to remember for fans from throughout the West Yorkshire area.”

The evening will be presented by Sky Sports commentator Nigel Pearson, a Rovers fan. He said: “I spend a lot of time with Wayne and Eric at various tournaments throughout the year and they are great company. I can assure everyone who has bought tickets for next Friday they are in for a night to remember!”
