Local MP for Leeds West, Rachel Reeves, recently visited YSDS’ brand new Armley HQ to talk commercial growth and the local business eco-system.
The team at Your Special Delivery Service UK were excited to welcome MP Rachel Reeves to their newly refurbished office, right in the heart of her constituency.
Keen supporter of all things West Leeds and founder of the West Leeds Business Network, Reeves was interested to find out more about YSDS, why they chose Armley and their stunning refurb of a former redbrick commercial space.
“Along the Leeds Liverpool canal there are some really nice old factories and mills that are inspiring places to work – What YSDS have done here to regenerate a former warehouse and bring it into the 21st century is really brilliant, these opportunities just aren’t available in many parts of the city or the country.”
After warmly introducing herself to the whole team, UK CEO Silvia Tarchi gave Rachel her reasoning to the choice of Armley and to Leeds as a city, her points around commercial camaraderie echoed Rachel’s own sentiment and aims for the area:
“I want to make Armley a place where businesses can collaborate and learn from each other, a local business eco-system”
On learning more about YSDS, their operations in Leeds and the company’s recent and exponentially aggressive growth, the local MP gave these words:
“You can’t be what you can’t see and if you see businesses doing well in your local area you think you can do it too – It’s really inspirational to have this growing business based in our local community.
YSDS are role models for other businesses.”
